Do literary visitations and voyages constitute legitimate sites of cultural exchange or do they merely reinforce national identity? This panel will explore the exchange of aesthetic sensibilities between the UK and the USA at the turn of the 20th century and how such exchanges may contribute to a form of transnational nationalism. We welcome proposals on texts and authors from both countries.Contact details:
